President Jovenel Moise accredits new ambassadors

Haiti Accredits New Ambassadors

President Jovenel Moise received the newly accredited Ambassador’s of Mexico, China (Taiwan) and Turkey at the Haitian national palace.

He discussed with each ambassador the prospect of strengthening bilateral ties between Haiti and each respective country.

The list of newly accredited ambassadors included:

  • Ambassador of Mexico to Haiti: Jesús Valdés Peña
  • Ambassador of Taiwan to Haiti: Ku Wen-jiann
  • Ambassador of Turkey to Haiti: Yesim Kebapcioglu

Port-au-Prince News Today

Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe, along with the the ministers of MTPTC and the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities, met with presidents of the municipal commissions of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince to discuss several issues of national interest.

Major topics of discussion included municipal town hall budgets, sanitation and security.

Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe also headed a high-level meeting to discuss strategic planning initiatives in association with the post-Covid-19 macroeconomic framework.

5th edition of the Community Dialogue

In the 5th edition of the Community Dialogue, a town hall style event held at the Haitian National Palace, President Jovenel Moise addressed issues regarding energy and security with various concerned authorities and respective members of the general public. VIDEO

Haiti Ministry of Defense

At the instruction of President Jovenel Moise, Haiti’s Minister of Defense, Jean Walnard DORNEVAL ordered the deployment of an FAd’H group to Fonds-Parisian. The action is being taken on the part of the Haitian government to strengthen national security within the countries territorial borders.

Haiti’s Ministry of Communication also confirmed the deployment of an FADH group at Fonds-Parisien as a way to reinforce control at the Malpasse-Jimani border post and to combat illegal activities that may potentially occur across Lake Azueï.

Fonds National de l’Éducation – FNE

Fonds National de l’Éducation (FNE) confirmed that there are currently 25 national school construction projects under way in several departments. VIDEO
