U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee holds hearing on Haiti
On Thursday, September 29, 2022, The U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee held a special hearing to discuss the challenges & opportunities that Haitian civil society faces in restoring stability & democracy to Haiti. The invited witnesses included a distinguished panel of Haitian leaders from civil society. The hearing witnesses included:
- Mrs. Vélina Élysée Charlier (Activist – NouPapDòmi)
- Ms. Mary Rosy Auguste Ducena (Program Director – The National Human Rights Defense Network – RNDDH)
- Mr. Alermy Piervilus (Executive Secretary – Platform of Haitian Human Rights Organizations – POHDH)
- The Honorable Pamela A. White (Former U.S. Ambassador to Haiti).

CESFRONT prevents motorcycles from Haiti from crossing the border
On September 28, 2022, CESFRONT reported that because of the fuel shortage in Haiti, it had prevented motorcycles from Haiti from entering the border into the Dominican Republic.
