The legendary Haitian music star collapsed on stage just after delivering a spectacular performance with Carimi during their reunion concert at the Accor Arena in Paris, France.
Many in the Haitian community are absolutely stunned by the sudden death of arguably one of the most influential figures in the history of the Haitian Music Industry.
Tributes for the beloved artist have begun to pour in online, with fans and musical personalities alike sharing pictures & videos of their past experiences with the young & talented artist.
Haiti’s Prime Minister, Dr. Ariel Henry, stated in a tweet that he was devastated by the news and extended his condolences to Mikaben’s family, friends and the music community as a whole.
Haiti’s Ministry of Culture (MCC) also extended its sympathies to the family of Michael Benjamin as well as to the entire cultural sector.
