On Thursday, August 11, 2022, the reigning Miss Haiti 2021, Pascale Belony, announced in a press release that she would not be attending this year’s Miss Haiti 2022 grand finale, despite the event being held in her hometown of Cap-Haitien.
According to the press release, Ms. Belony stated that she would not be passing the crown at this year’s finale. She further revealed that all communication with the Miss Haiti Organization stopped after the Miss Universe Competition in December of last year.
She also shed some light on her experience with the Miss Haiti Organization and shared her hope for the next Miss Haiti 2022.
In response to the press release issued by Ms. Belony, the Miss Haiti Organization responded with an official statement of their own.
The grand finale for this year’s Miss Haiti 2022 competition will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, in Cap-Haitien, Haiti.
