On March 22, 2023, the official Twitter account of Starlink announced that it’s satellite internet service is now available in Haiti.
Starlink’s coverage map shows that it’s satellite internet service is accessible throughout the entire country, including in many rural and remote communities.
Starlink will compete for customers among several established internet service providers in Haiti, including:
- Digicel Haiti
- NatCom
- Access Haiti S.a.
- Alpha Communications Network (ACN)
- HainetSA
The new Starlink satellite-based high-speed internet service option has the potential to revitalize Haiti’s economy & bridge the country’s current digital divide between urban & rural communities.
