Haitian President commemorates death of father, Etienne Moïse

President Jovenel Moise held a special event on Facebook live today from his office at the Haitian National Palace.

At the start of the event, the Haitian President expressed gratitude to the Haitian people and many others throughout the international community for their outpouring of support in the wake of his father’s (ETIENNE MOÏSE) death.

During the approx. 1 hour long live-stream, the Haitian president discussed several issues of national interest and highlighted the challenges that are ever present in his quest to bring about real change in Haiti.

Haiti Agriculture News

President Jovenel Moise also recently published a PSA on his official Twitter page highlighting the need for greater focus and support behind the country’s agricultural sector.

The PSA featured a young lady from the Artibonite valley region that has greatly benefited from special agricultural credit lending facilities made available by the Haitian government. VIDEO

Haiti Ministry of Education

Key officials from Haiti’s Ministry of Education held a press conference to discuss some important protocols around the proctoring of official state exams. VIDEO

Several exam day rules and procedures were discussed to facilitate a smooth and consistent test taking experience throughout each of the country’s 10 departments.

Exam Schedule – for the 9th fundamental year (October 12 through 14, 2020)

Haiti’s Ministry of Education also denounced the death of Grégory Saint-Hilaire, a student who’s tragic and untimely death occurred on Friday, October 2, 2020.

Haiti Ministry of Tourism

On October 8, 2020, Haiti’s Ministry of Tourism commemorated the 200th Anniversary of Henri Christophe’s death and the lasting impact that his life and legacy has had on Haitian history.

Haiti Ministry of Commerce

The Haitian Ministry of Commerce published a note reminding educational institutions that they are legally obligated to set rates for their tuition fees and other services in Haitian gourdes as per decree.
